On Wednesday 19th we set off early to go on a two day safari (See map for route). Our first stop was El Jem an old Roman Coliseum. Then onto Matmata where Star Wars was filmed. Saw the sun set over the Sahara desert. Stayed overnight in Douz before setting off early to the Salt Lakes of Chott El Jerid. After stopping at an oaisis we caught the Red Lizard train for a ride into the mountains. Last stop was Kairouan, the old capital of Tunisia. Click on the links below for more pictures.
